Instructions
The JR-JRZAPIT09 will reset the chips on genuine Epson T0711, T0712, T0713, T0714, T0801, T0802, T0803, T0804, T0805 & T0806 cartridges but the you will need to reset your cartridges before the ink level goes below around 50%. This is because, on a genuine Epson cartridge, there is a sensor behind the chip that is always immersed in the ink. If the cartridge is empty or low then air will have reached the sensor and it will render the cartridge permanently unrecognisable after resetting. Resetting the cartridge at 40% ink level or above will keep the sensor immersed in ink and therefore stop the cartridge from being rejected.
As far as we know, the sensor behind the chip on a genuine cartridge performs no other function than to make it difficult for the cartridge to be reset or refilled.
